Time and again we receive questions about e-scooters. Where am I allowed to ride? What do I have to pay attention to when I ride? Do I have to wear a helmet? To name just a few. This has prompted us as a manufacturer to create a large e-scooter infographic with all the important facts, laws and exciting developments for e-scooters with road approval on the German market.

How has the Corona pandemic changed individual transport in Germany?

A quick trip to the bakery, shopping, dropping off a package at the post office or driving to work: These everyday routes were already ideal for e-scooters in times before Corona. While in a survey a year ago a good fifth* (24.3 percent) of Germans "definitely" or "probably" wanted to buy an e-scooter, 34.8 percent can now already imagine buying one. Men (41.2 percent) and potential buyers between the ages of 18 and 29 (43.9 percent) and between the ages of 30 and 49 (40.1 percent) are particularly interested.

What do I have to consider when driving an e-scooter in Germany?

Before the first ride and after the purchase of your e-scooter, you will inevitably have to deal with the topic of insurance. What you need to insure your e-scooter can be found in the section "How to insure your e-scooter".
