How do I brake correctly?

Braking properly with an e-scooter is quite simple if you know how!

The main brake on the Moovi is the recuperation brake at the front of the handlebars, which can be operated with the left thumb. This motor brake feeds energy back to the battery and charges it when an e-scooter brakes. It is a gentle brake. If you drive with foresight, it is perfectly sufficient for braking.

Should you ever be forced to come to a stop immediately and particularly quickly, use the additional rear foot brake.

The front, red hand brake is the 3rd brake on your Moovi. This is a drum brake of the front wheel, which must be used only in conjunction with the rear foot brake! So that you do not forget, we have painted it red.

The recuperation brake is on the left between the handbrake and the bell and is operated with the thumb. The handbrake has a very strong braking force and should only be used in combination with the footbrake and very sensitively to avoid a fall!

The rear foot brake has slightly more braking power than the recuperation brake. The harder you press the fender on the tire, the stronger the effect. Here, too, you should use the recuperation brake or the handbrake at the same time to distribute the braking force to both wheels.
